Collaborative Fisheries Research Program
The California Collaborative Fisheries Research Program (CCRFP) is a collaboration between anglers and researchers that leads to greater understanding and changed attitudes about California’s marine protected areas (MPAs).
The CCRFP is a diverse partnership of volunteer anglers, boat captains, scientists, nongovernmental organizations, and charter companies interested in promoting sustainable fisheries. By working together, the researchers were able to use collected data and input from anglers to understand commercially important species abundance abundance inside and outside of California's MPAs.
