Catherine Courtier has a background in marine biology and conservation, and experience working in the fields of environmental economics, resource management, ocean policy, and invasion biology.

Catherine was previously a California Sea Grant State Fellow with the Delta Stewardship Council, where she worked on management issues surrounding non-native species. She has a master’s degree in marine biodiversity and conservation from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a bachelor’s degree in marine biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
