The Ecological and Social Dimensions Underlying Ecosystem Services in Urban Estuaries
Monday, December 10, 11:00am - 12:30pm

This RAE-CSO Summit session will be moderated by Extension Specialist Theresa Sinicrope Talley, and will examine the need to consider the ecological, social, and economic dimensions underlying the decline and/or improvement of urban coastal ecosystem services. The session will also include a talk by Dr. Talley and Nina Venuti on their community-based canyon restoration work.

The Coastal Society’s Margaret A. Davidson Coastal Career Development Program at the RAE-CSO Summit
Thursday, December 13, 8:00am – 5:00pm

This event will feature a morning of keynote talks on career options, employment prospects, and important career opportunities in southern California and around the nation, and inspirational testimonies from coastal professionals. The afternoon will offer a series of smaller group discussions about various skills needed to succeed, such as leadership, networking, mentors, publishing, resumes, and more. California Sea Grant Extension Director Lisa Schiavinato, a past president of The Coastal Society, will speak at the event.
