Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Kimberly Rogers graduated from Scripps Institution of Oceanography with a Master of Advanced Studies in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation. For her Capstone research, she examined how the European Union’s (EU) policies to prevent illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing influenced Panama’s seafood trade to the EU. Before Scripps, Kimberly was a marine science instructor, a trip leader for middle school and high school students throughout the US and abroad, and an aquarist for cold water and tropical species.

At California Fish and Game Commission, Kimberly is looking forward to working on the Coastal Fishing Communities Project and projects related to marine aquaculture and invasive species management.
