Keara Tuso

Keara Tuso earned a master's degree in environmental policy and management, with a focus on marine resource management, from the University of California Davis in 2019. She helped develop a water quality analysis test for the Arboretum at UC Davis and piloted a citizen science project to evaluate water consistency throughout the year. Tuso was previously a policy analyst and lobbyist for and environmental firm in Sacramento, and has worked with a variety of environmental nonprofits like Heal the Bay, Putah Creek Council, and Surfrider.

Tuso will be working with the Ocean Standards Unit to evaluate the bacteriological standards for our coastal zones, and also expects to be working on the new California Ocean Plan.
