Delta Science Program

Elishebah Tate-Pulliam graduated with a master’s degree in Biology from California State University, Long Beach in 2021. As a member of the ecology and conservation lab, her research focused on elucidating the effects of living shorelines methodology on the infaunal invertebrate communities of Newport Bay, CA. Her research led her to become interested in a range of topics including restoration, conservation, long-term climate resilience, stakeholder-community engagement, and public outreach; just to list a few. As a fellow with the Delta Science Program’s Science Communication, Synthesis, and Decision-Support Unit, Elishebah wishes to gain a better understanding of the aforementioned topics from a policy and regulation perspective, as well as learn about some of the processes that help bridge the gap between scientific data and decision-making.

She is excited to work on projects that continue making Delta-related science accessible to stakeholders and the broader local and global communities. Further, she’d like to learn more about the laws, regulations, and policies that help inform decisions in relation to coastal habitat conservation and restoration, climate change resilience, sustainable development.
