NOAA Fisheries and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife are implementing a collaborative process called SHaRP (Salmon Habitat Restoration Priorities) to identify priority actions for restoring California’s salmon and steelhead habitat. Mill Creek has been selected as one of four streams in the Russian River watershed due to its high value for endangered coho salmon. This slideshow is an overview of CA Sea Grant's data from several years of fish and habitat monitoring and was presented at the November 8, 2022 SHaRP Meeting to help inform restoration priorities within the watershed.
