This webinar included an overview of the history and current status of our local salmon, and an opportunity to meet our monitoring team. In the first hour, we presented a summary of the ongoing effort by California Sea Grant, Sonoma Water, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and many other partners to monitor and recover endangered coho salmon and threatened steelhead populations in the Russian River watershed, including an overview of the Russian River Coho Salmon Captive Broodstock Program. Speakers are on-the- ground, frontline folks spearheading this effort for each of the four organizations featured. The last half hour was an optional Q & A session with all speakers.
