The Ocean Visions 2021 Summit will be hosted globally online across multiple time zones on May 18-21, 2021. The summit will be held virtually on the campus of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography between May 18-21, 2021. The summit is linked and co-organized with satellite campuses in Hobart (Australia), Cape Town (South Africa), Mindelo (Cabo Verde), and Kiel (Germany).
California Sea Grant's Director Shauna Oh will participate in the session:
- The Marine Circular Bioeconomy: Sustainable Food, Bioenergy and Biomaterials from the Sea
California Sea Grant Extension Specialist Erin Satterthwaite, who coordinates the California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigations (CalCOFI) program at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, will participate in the opening pannel and co-lead two of the sessions;
- A Global Ecosystem for Ocean Solutions (GEOS)
- Early Career Ocean Professionals for Ocean Solutions
California Sea Grant Extension Specialist Laura Engeman will participate in the session:
- Equitable Solutions for Coastal Inundations and Sea Level Rise
