California Sea Grant Aquaculture Specialist Luke Gardner will give a special presentation on the science of pearls at the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas, California. In this presentation, Gardner will share how pearls are formed and where they naturally occur in the wild and will also discuss oyster ecology.
