Living Shorelines and Resilience in the San Francisco Bay Area Workshops - two, one-day educational and capacity-building events in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The first workshop was held on March 1st, 2019 and focused on living shorelines in sheltered estuarine habitats. The second workshop will be held on April 2nd, 2019 and will foucs on North-Central outer coast habitats.

This page provides information regarding both workshops including the agendas, presentations, and resource lists.

These workshops provide an introduction to the living shorelines design approach, and share information about the state of the science and best practices around living shorelines (i.e. nature-based or green infrastructure) shoreline adaptation strategies. These workshops are geared towards San Francisco Bay Area professionals who work or may work in the near future on shoreline adaptation projects in various capacities, including land and natural resource managers, scientists, municipal and regional planners, consultants, engineers, community conservation organizations, and key community leaders.
