The California Ocean Litter Prevention Strategy (CA OLS) outlines actions that stakeholders can take to prevent and reduce ocean litter in California. Coordinated by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Marine Debris Program and the California Ocean Protection Council, the CA OLS community holds workshops every two years to discuss Strategy progress and relevant updates. The purpose of these workshops is to bring together the CA OLS community to discuss the Strategy’s six goal areas, to highlight success stories, as well as to collect community feedback using a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunity, and Threats (SWOT) Analysis framework. The virtual workshop will also feature local, state, and federal agencies' presentations about upcoming opportunities. Please note, the CA OLS language will not be revised at this time.
