This report includes descriptions and classifications from two estuarine systems on California's North Coast, and summarizes intertidal and subtidal habitat information. Mapping of quantified benthic habitat and subtidal areas was completed from aerial imagery conducted in June 2009 at low tide. The goal of the Habitat Project is to support the Humboldt Bay Initiative, a community-based ecosystem management program.
