Mary Cozy recently graduated from UC Berkeley. In Summer 2020, she worked as an Extension Intern with Theresa Talley looking at ways to strengthen local seafood systems in California. She did this by assessing the feasibility of local native species (I.e. seaweeds, clams, fishes) as use for new aquaculture species. She also conducted a needs-based assessment of commercial fishermen, aquaculturists and seafood processors to develop a plan for more resilient local food systems in California.
