A new beach injury prevention video featuring California Sea Grant Extension Specialist Theresa Talley is now available online. Talley delivers a marine science segment to inform beachgoers about potential sea creature hazards. The video is part of a series of videos produced by partners Project Wipeout and Hoag Hospital.
Viewers learn how to enjoy the beach while avoiding common hazards, including how to avoid being stung by a stingray and what to do when a sea lion is spotted on the shore.
The entire series of Project Wipeout safety videos is now live.
About Project Wipeout
The mission of Project Wipeout, as part of a non-profit community hospital, is to save lives and prevent injuries at our beaches, both locally and nationwide, by developing and distributing Beach Safety information. The program has reached millions over the last 35 years though community events, school presentations, and collaborating with lifeguard agencies and other injury prevention organizations.
